Installing the Shield Protector for Your Quad Cortex
1. Remove the Factory Washer Nuts:
• Using a 14mm or 9/16" deep socket, carefully remove the washer nuts that are currently holding the switches to the Quad Cortex’s case.
2. Position the Shield Protector:
• Place the shield protector over the unit, aligning the holes with the spots where the washer nuts were.
3. Reattach the Washer Nuts:
• Screw the factory washer nuts back on over the protector to secure it to the case. Just tighten them enough so that everything is snug and stable. Do not torque the washer nuts down once they stop turning—they are tightened fully. Over tightening may strip the switches on your quad cortex, so be careful!
4. Check the Switches:
• Make sure all switches still move as they should. The protector won’t interfere as long as you’re gentle and everything is lined up properly.
